Pretty freaking good!
Hint; Don't set your tent in a dry creek bed.

I know every Sturgis special I've seen on TV, it seems to rain at every rally. Hail is just more rain, just the hard kind.

I was just in Hill City a few weeks ago and it was a great weekend. Clear blue skies.
I asked the gals at the HD in Hill City about the weather as i noted a lot of creeks and fields had standing/running water w/ some over flow.
They told me they had a lot of rain in the Black Hills...more than usual.
Long range NWS has it pretty warm w/ thunderstorms and cool at night.
Sounds like an adventure in weather....
be safe

Don't mind if it is hot or cold. Don't mind the thunderstorms that dump buckets of rain on my tent.
But I hate it when the hail stones are this big... The 2009 hail storm

Depends where you are...It can rain/hail like a banshee in Deadwood, and nothing but 100 degree sunshine in Sturgis, not that far apart.
If you don't like the weather, just move five or ten miles.

always prepare for the worst. in 2013 10 of us spent an hour in an outhouse in the middle of custer national park waiting out a hail storm. fun times.
