I ride a 2010 street bob that I love but I hate when people say "Harleys are American" and disregard other makes as japanese bikes, crotch rockets, etc. (Edit) There are quite a bit of parts on the Harleys nowadays that are from overseas. Yea it's assembled here, but that doesn't really make it a true "American made bike." Just makes the person who says it sound like an idiot. I ride for the love of riding. Two wheels is two wheels, doesn't matter to me if you ride a scooter.

Well if you want to get technical, Harleys are made in the United States of America. America could refer to any of the three, north, central, and south america. Get off your soap box.

If you want to get technical they're not made in the United States of America. They're assembled here. I'm not knocking Harley Davidson, like I said I love my bike. I'm not pointing out any one person in specific. If anyone takes offense to this than they're obviously part of the nose in the air club. My point was and is why do people look down upon other riders choice of bike. Not that it's just Harley riders either. However, Harley riders are always the first to throw the "It's American" card when in reality there are numerous parts on that bike that aren't.
