What are my options on not getting killed with the wind i have lost 4 hats in a week. I bought a new 2015 street glide last week and traded in my ultra limited and love it but the difference is huge and just getting beat up
im tall at 6'3 and i upgraded to the 7 inch windshield from the 4 and also bought a new seat but its just frustrating. I bought the Klock Werks windshield 8.5 also and it didnt help. I just didnt want to go to a big clear windshield is there anything else i can do. would a low profile seat help any
or changing the bars. thanks for any advice you can help with
Get some tighter fitting hats to start with! I'm 6'4" and have the 7" Windsplitter on my FLHX and as long as my hat is on backwards I'm good at speeds up to 80 mph. You might want to try the fork fangs (part# 57400146A) but I find them pretty ugly.
I'm 6' 5" and ride a Softail Deuce with the small factory detachable wind screen. I catch a lot of wind, but that's the object. I like riding and I like wind. Don't block it, just learn to love it.
Turn your hat around the other way. If that doesn't work, keep it backward and put a bandanna over your face. It can tie in the back over the bill. Have lost mine at 100+ that way (except for one that didn't fit right).
