Hi After some advice. Have just fitted pair of luggage guards to my 2015Road Glide Special. All bolts/Hex torqued to the correct spec. Have taken the bike out and now notice that I have a vibration through the foot boards and bike at just under 40mph and 60 mph. At 40 its there in 4th gear but not in 3rd. At 60 its there in 6th gear but not in 5th. If I pull the clutch leaver in the vibration goes.
On deceleration the vibration is through the handlebars as well.
Short of taking the bars off does anyone have any idea what may be the cause.
I don't see how luggage guards would create a vibration unless they are rubbing against something and even then I'm not sure it would be that pronounced.
I think you need to pull the guards off just to eliminate that as a cause and then you'll know either that it's the guards or if you need to keep looking.
I had a similar vibration and it turned out to be the front tire.
Perhaps coincidentally the problem showed up when you put the guards on.
