Lots of good and bad points. Think I will invest in a set of passing lights with lights that match the headlight.

Put the CD led ringz in my front signals. They are a huge visibility difference, really noticeable over the stock amber turn lights.

Flashing or modulating headlights annoy me, even when in a cage. And I belief they cause target fixation. But...JMO.

With, that...how about more and brighter lights, per attached.

When approaching a car that could possibly turn in front of me, instead of flashing the headlight (which could be misinterpreted by the car driver as a signal to "go") I just switch it from low to high beam.

From the perspective of the driver, I would hope that the increased brightness of the light gives the perception that the oncoming motorcycle (me) is "closer".
More noticeable, as well.

After passing the car, I put the beam back to low.

So, obviously I ride, I know the reasoning behind the idea. That said, it is somewhat irritating to me when I am approaching someone who has the Hi-Lo style.

I've used a modulator for years. Out of courtesy I turn it off when riding in a group or following someone for a long time. I want to be seen. Way too many left turn in front of motorcycle stories all the time in the paper. People in cages just don't see us. To each his own but even those who dislike them all notice them. Be safe and ride.

I get why people have them, but I think they're annoying. I wouldn't have one.

Consensus seems that they are irritating and thus being noticed, loud pipes are irritating too but they don't have a switch.
I don't know if I would have installed one on my own but since it's there I use it, especially in traffic where the left turn gets you and on the open road when those pulling on from side roads say they can't see the bike. I don't ride in a group but if I did I wouldn't use it just as I rarely do on the interstate.
I got the enhanced tail lights that convert the blinkers to tail lights and switched the red lenses, don't have a blinking module on the EG but I do on my Dual Sport.
