Some one posted a while back that Harley sold off all the tooling for the Springer front ends. If he is to be believed, I would guess we won't be seeing a new one again.

Just depends how bad someone wants one. I bought one that was only 6 months old and sold it 6 yrs later for more then I paid for it . And it was to a dealer . In Florida I have been seeing some for around 10k . But the rockers are going for high dollars .

I believe they sold off the tooling..."replica" FL springers have started showing up on ebay...I can't tell them from the real deal...just bought one. The new springer will be an all new design...stiff enough to work with better brakes and ABS.

One of the techs working on my 02 FLSTS (new tire), who was a recent Harley graduate, said they spent hours and hours on Springers which made him wonder if they would come out with a new Springer eventually.

Because the Moco doesn't give a crap what techs think. They only care what will sell. And the extra service dollars would just be icing on the cake.

Wow! That is NOT a bad price. I was expecting to start laughing at some absurd three thousand dollar tag.
