Me? I'm not ignoring it, just was hoping for someone who bought one to chime in. It is a lot of money to spend on something I won't use that much so am looking for a general consensus.
My bad. I thought the OP (you) asked and went against consensus. I misread a post that I thought came from you.
For a trailer that will be used little, I'd go for storing issue as main decision as long as shorter trailer will do the job. Wear a cheap plastic helmet to load/unload if you are concerned of hitting your noggin. A few times/yr of ducking vs having it stored where you don't want it at every day......
What's your garage door/wall layout? My garage is 5 car with standard 7' doors. Needed a few inches more to get my boat in. Was able to raise the header up 1' and install 8' door in that bay.
My Heritage with a Reckless Fairing and 10" LRS shield while sitting in a wheel chock is 59" off the ground.
If the trailer height is 60" that leaves only 1" of clearance.

I'd go with a 6' trailer.
Depending on the manufacturer, the door opening clearance may be different than the trailer specified height. I'd sure hate to have the OP get the shorter trailer and have is not work as intended.
I say demo the garage, install an 8 foot door and buy the damn 6' trailer like most here do...... After all, it's not my money.
I'm a little late to the conversation, but I just bought a trailer and was going through the same question. It was bought for other things besides the bikes, but I will say it's nice to be able to stand up in it!! 6' no regrets, as far as gas mileage, I doubt 1' would really be measureable on a v nose, just my opinion.
