Thought this would get me in a bind with the wife since she liked the comfort of the Classic, but when I bought the bagger it came with the quick detach tourpack, a Steet Glide Seat and sissy bar....so off it went.......
Looks good, but at the loss of storage, but here is where you come in...would you keep the tourpack on, or run without it ??
Threw in a few pics of the bikes together..personally I tend to like the low profile look
Rob, you clearly have a detachable tourpac. It is also reattachable.
When you're going to need it put it back on, when not leave it off. It only takes a few seconds to switch.
Best thing going to be able to change your ride around in no time.
Oh, one other thing.
You might as well sell that Wideglide, it's not going to get much use from here on in!
Everything I have is detachable butI use my tour pack a lot since I commute and carry a laptop it's indespencable (My laptop barely fis in my side bags with no cushoning). For me though it's also comfy Today though I'm going out without it.
It really all depends on what you like and the storage you need. If you don't need the storage all the time, the wife is good with it, and like it without...Iwould leave it off and use it when you need it.
If I get a larger touring bike at some point (hubby now wants me to wait and just get a second bike) the pack will detachable since I don't ride a passenger often.
Love riding the Bagger, but couldn't imagine selling the Wide Glide, to much time, effort and money..!! it's more of an around-the-town bike...
Wally, I do like the quick detach (reattach) system, but if I am going on a long trip, the tourpack will make it back on

I run Mine without the tour pack about 90% of the time.I like the looks better without it but that's just a start. The bike handles allot better without it and You also loose around 25 lbs or so from the top of the bike by taking it off. It's nice to open that puppy up and throw some stuff in but I don't miss it that much when it's not there.I can have both the tour pack and touring seat back on in about 5 minutes for a trip.
I think the slick setup for me would be a chopped tourpac with a solo detach setup and a solo seat.
no wiring and minimal adverse effect to handling.
Maybe someday.....
