You could try looking up a parts manual for the model/year bike you are working on pretty easily. Just a thought.

For future reference, here is a "Sticky" at the top of the General Harley Davidson forum for free online parts manuals.

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/gener...ual-links.html

Select one of the sites, find your year and model bike and select the "Frame Assembly with Jiffy Stand" schematic.

I can't help with a pic, however, about 12 years ago, I put 3" extended controls on my '03 FXST. I hated the look of the factory jiffy stand, so I cut off the stand's mount and powder coated the 3" brackets. The brackets are complete replacements for the controls' brackets, not extension plates for factory control brackets. They were from Kuryakyn, but I believe they were discontinued around '08. I used an Arlen Ness adjustable, telescopic, rear mount kick stand. It bolts to existing, threaded bores on the frame, aft of the primary. It's easy to reach for deployment/retraction and I think it looks bad ***. A little pricey, but I'm worth it. LOL
For the factory spring, after reviewing old pics of my bike, it appears the factory spring is parallel to the jiffy stand, at about an 8 degree angle in relation to the jiffy stand, when the stand is in its down position. That may or may not help you locate the spring's attachment point.

Arlen Ness stand:
