Bet if you had to work on Sunday and had Monday off and the dealership was closed you would rant about that. It seems that everyone wants 24 /7 but complains when they are the ones to supply it.
I worked in a trade that required my working a lot of weekends and being on call 24/7, so go preach to someone that gives a ****.

i appreciate all the useful feedback. As far as the less useful feedback, in case you haven't noticed, this site is full of rants about the moco and its products and other vendors and their products, many of them site sponsors. So, why you chose to crap in my thread is beyond my comprehension. But, i've been told when you live in your parent's basement and you weren't hugged enough when you were a baby, stuff like this is bound to happen. Fwiw, i couldn't care less about other parts of the world's problems. I did my time babysitting the world and i sacrificed doing it. So, go **** yourself.
There are plenty of retail businesses open 7 days a week - I agree it is sometimes frustrating when the HD dealer is closed on Sunday & Mondays and you need something.
It would be nice if they were open 7 days a week spring, summer and fall.
How about 24/7 while we are at it. Then someone will find something else to complain about like maybe it is not close enough to their house or they don't have a delivery service for parts because if Domino's pizza can do it, why can't they.
T I know Sunday is a day of rest and I'm aware that many states have "Blue Laws" that prohibit the sale of certain items, i.e. sex toys (certain counties in Florida) .....
Just how exactly did a guy from Texas come by that little piece of knowledge about Florida law?
Our dealership is open on Sundays and it's usually a very busy day. If I were one of the Huston dealers I'd open on Sundays and take the business the others don't seem to want.
The dealer in *******, Mi. said they were an emergency dealer and that's the reason for being open 7 days. Don't know anymore than that. I'll bet all 7 dealers have a not open Sun. and Mon. pact. 28% less on wages, air, electricity and all other fixed costs.
I am surprised that 7 dealerships in the Houston area are closed on Sunday. Are they owned by the same people? Maybe then the owners feel that allowing one to remain open would be unfair to their other dealers. If I was a dealership in that area, I would see that as an opportunity. That said, did they used to remain open and have decided to close because sales did not support the extra staffing hours or the general price of oil has depressed the market to such a point that it became uneconomical to be open everyday and Sunday works out to be the best day to close. Maybe the employees needed a day to ride with their friends.
Typically, here in Western Washington, dealers are open Sunday with only a few closed on Monday. Most do not have service hours for Sunday and Monday, just open for sales of bikes, parts and clothes.
