Bet if you had to work on Sunday and had Monday off and the dealership was closed you would rant about that. It seems that everyone wants 24 /7 but complains when they are the ones to supply it.

Only one dealership in Baton Rouge. It's now open 7 days/wk, including Service.

All 7 dealerships got together and concluded that people will buy their parts on days other than Sunday and Monday. Detroit car dealers were all closed on certain days for years. The MC dealers know you'll be back and they save a considerable amount of overhead.

HD of Sacramento is open 7 days. The service dept is closed on Sunday. I've been to the High Desert HD & it's one huge dealership. I have a friend that works in the Sacto dealership that's moving to that area & will be working in that dealership soon.

How often do you guys go to a dealership?

I've got dealerships nearby that are open any day I might need them but I really only stop in to buy oil every now and then...

If I'm looking for a specific part I'll either order it online, or look it up online and then use the website's locate it in stores function to see if anyone near me has it. I guess if I went to HOG meetings or rides, or if I was actively shopping for a new bike I might want them open 7 days a week, but so far it just hasn't been an issue.

Many of the people working at a dealership do so because of love for motorcycles. Requiring these people to work on Sunday when most others are out riding isn't going to help keep good knowledgeable employees.
Most banks close at noon Saturday and don't open till Monday. I've never had a problem banking.

I worked at a Yamaha dealership in the 70's. Two employees went to another state to pick up 2 bikes. Got back at midnight and turned the showroom lights on to back the trailer in. Two guys wandered in and asked if we were open.
