^^^ This. Also I see some folks advising against buying 883 which to me is a little unreasonable. If the OP has done his research and test rides and then set his heart on 883, then he should get it by all means. If he feels it's smaller or if he "has" to upgrade to a bigger bike, he can always do it later. It's just a toy anyways.
I don't see myself "upgrading" to a bigger Harley in any foreseeable future. Test rode all models and felt they were gonna be heavier or bigger for my short-self to keep them for many years even though I could ride any of them efficiently at any speed. Sportster 1200 Custom is exactly what I needed and that's what I got.
I got another Japanese toy as a fix for speed and hunger for lean angle.
Thanks for the good advise everyone. Based on what some have said I'm going to give a hard look at a "2007 Harley Davidson Dyna Low Rider" which is within my price. I do love the 883 Iron look. My thinking was the 883's are about 100 lbs heavier from my experience and the Dyna's are even heavier. But I take the good advise and give the Dyna a test ride.
Holly crap that's cheap! 368 miles on a 2012? The current model year is 2017. How can there only be 368 miles?
There are those that consider the Sportster to be a beginner bike that will be sold within 6 mo and and many that have owned Sportsters for over 20 years.
It depends on your experience, dimensions and interest. These forums will happily spend your money but the 883 is of legendary reliability and can be made to produce plenty of power. Test ride them and see what fits best. That 883 is rather low, and a full size 883XL will have more travel for the shocks but depends on height and other factors.
The Dyna which I love is more bike than the Sportster, which I love, but is not necessarily better - much of that depends on the rider.

Lots of Sportsters are bought by people like Brad. After a few rides they decide they don't want to ride anymore, they sit in the garage for a few years, and then they decide to sell them.
