What a fricking stupid post.
Sounds like you've ridden a lot of miles turning wrong, or maybe you just went straight. Either way, it's never too late to learn.

You can easily practice countersteering by riding the "yellow lines." Find a straight stretch of county highway. Yellow lines are ten feet in length, with a twenty foot gap (at least around here). Start off slow, say, thirty miles per hour. Press left, press right. Press left, press right. No need to worry about any dumb fricking angles. Just press left, press right. Slowly increase your speed, while riding through the gaps between the yellow lines.

You will soon find that you can swerve the yellow lines EASILY at 60 mph. That means you will be able to dodge pot holes and other road hazards at road speed. This can and will save your life.

Remember to look where you want to go. Don't look at what you want to avoid. Sight fixation will lead you right into what you are trying to miss.

Anyone here not know what I'm talking about? That's because you never took a BASIC MSF course.

As I challenged, Links, proof, etc. How can you press up at 18 degrees when your are already sitting up above your handlebars?

Put down the meth pipe. Sober up. Check into rehab.

Yeah, I'm the crazy one. Is your steering neck perpendicular to the ground?

No, idiot, my steering neck angle is not straight up and down, which would the definition of "perpendicular" in relationship to the ground.

Your head up your *** would more closely match the angle you are describing.

Wow. Don't get mad. You can't learn when you're angry. I'll come back later after you settle down a little and can think this through.

No angriness here. Just wonderment at how a fellow biker can be so ****ing stupid.

Answer this for the masses. How can you "press up at 18 degrees," when you are already sitting up above your handlebars?

Millions of bikers world wide are anxiously awaiting your enlightening answer.

I don't sit above my handlebars? My bars are even with my shoulders.

Park your bike and turn the wheel so you can lock the neck. When you sit on it and straighten the bars, is the right grip high or lower than when it was locked?

W T F ?

Even with the obvious description of ape hangers, the rest of your post makes no sense at all. Your handlebars are NEVER at a lock position when you enter a curve and use countersteering.

And,if they are even with your shoulders, how to you "push up at an 18 degree angle?" I ask again, are you laying down on the tank? How else do you pushe up?

I'm done with this ridiculous thread. I'll leave it up to the masses to reply to your idiotic posts.

It was a simple question. Is your hand position higher when your wheel is turned, than it is when it's straight? The answer is obviously "yes", since you stated that your forks are not perpendicular to the ground. I'll accept your defeat.

Put down the pipe. Sober up. Check in tomorrow.

Maybe apologies will be accepted. But don't count on it. I've been known to have too many brandies,,,
