6 gun is right. Not matter what you personally think the definition of counter steering is, it should be something we all do without thinking. It should be reflex so when **** goes bad, we survive. Who cares about the technicallites of what it is. Just do it and learn. Every single time I ride it's a learning experience.
I decided to see if I can throw my weight to turn the dirtbike, while I was shifting around I was also pulling the opposite bar in. I never thought I did. But I do. I'm going to write a book like "everybody poops" for kids, but call it "everybody counter steers"
You are admitting that you do not give a damn about the technical concepts.
Nonsense, and there is plenty of evidence in this thread about my interest in the physics of how a motorcycle works. It has always been a curiosity for me, ever since I played with my first top.
You say you are qualified to explain how counter-steering works but when I ask you to comment on a very simple technical article you are not able to understand it.
Oh. I see. Yea. No, that is now how it works. You are a troll and I have no interest in feeding you.
You may have many years of experience but it is useless unless you can translate into technical jargon.
Absolute nonsense. What is happening here is you are trying to blow smoke up everyone's... a-hole ... to try and draw attention away from the fact that you have no idea what you are talking about, because you have never actually ridden a motorcycle.

Its true, I gave you a simple technical article and asked you to read it and comment on it but you did not understand it. You still don't.
I did not specify which direction the throttle rolled because I do not remember.
Because it didn't happen at all.
So you admit that when pushing forward you can get some throttle.
Nope. Not at all. Counter-steering does not require shifting your hand position on the throttle even a little. Now, someone who has never actually ridden a motorcycle might come to the conclusion that it could happen, but that is because they have no idea just how little effort is required, or what the proper hand/wrist position is when gripping the throttle.
You misinterpret a lot of things. I said I got some throttle and you interpreted that to mean I rolled on the throttle.
For people who actually ride a motorcycle, the phrase "get some throttle" means to roll it on. I am not misinterpreting anything, I am simply using the language of my riding brothers and sisters, a language that is clearly foreign to you.
I don't care. If you want to think that makes you smarter than me... good for you.
No, that is not what does it, but this video does...watch it. What makes me smarter than you is I am willing to say that I do not fully understand it yet and I need to keep investigating.
Watch this video (right after it starts) for the riderless motorcycle. The bike does not stand up, it keeps its lean.
You do not know how to counter-steer... that makes you ignorant on this subject. I, on the other hand, do know and that makes me (and pretty much everyone else on this board) a motorcycling genius when compared to you.

As I suspected you ignore the evidence of the riderless motorcycle.
There are no genius's in this thread. No body got it 100% correct.
And I said that "keith needs to read more and ride less".
