J&S jacks
Reasons why you might want it--
- you have two bikes and limited garage space.
- you have a long term project.
- scoot is going to be stored for a long time.

Maybe on "long term" project - forks off for a few days
No on scoot being stored.
I love my J&S and use it for getting bikes off the ground for detailing, fluid changes etc.... a good bit, but I never really have a project going on with multiple bikes at a time.
The other thing to think about also is, if I had projects going on on two bikes one on the jack and one on the dolly. If I finished the project on the bike on dolly and wanted to take it for a spin I have to get the bike on the jack down to use the jack to get the one on the dolly down. Thinking about that scenario it would seem the real benefit to the dolly would be use on a bike for long term storage
There's also an installation process which adds time to it's use so other than freeing up the jack or used for long term uses like winter storage it probably wouldn't be used very often.
Also once installed the underside of the bike is still restricted so there's no benefit there.
I use a Redline dolly with my Sears yellow jack.
The Redline dolly not only provides a clear access to the underside of the bike but it also appears to add the same stability that the JS jack provides.
With the Redline dolly, you simple jack up the bike and slide the dolly around the jack and lower the bike onto it and remove the jack.
I did a review of the Redline dolly a while back.

IMO; if I got the JS jack I wouldn't spend the extra money on the dolly.
If you want a dolly, get a cheaper jack and add the Redline dolly to it so that you not only add stability but also gain unrestricted access to the underside of the bike all for a lot less money.
If you have more than one bike then just get another Redline dolly.
You can buy two Redline dollies for less than the price of one JS Jacks dolly.
Note that I believe the JS jack is too wide to be used with the Redline dolly.

I looked at the JS Jack but couldn't justify the cost.
The $400+ cost isn't why I didn't go that route.
I just found that I could do everything I needed just a safely with a cheaper option.
I've had my $100 Sears yellow jack for a few years now and it's never let me down, however I only use it maybe 10 times a year.
I don't think you will be disappointed with the JS Jack.
By all accounts it is the best jack out there.
