Hey all, I'm sure this questions been asked before but this is my first winter storing my HD and I had a question in regards to fuel stabilizer. The instructions on the stabil bottle says to combine it only with fresh fuel after fill up. I've gotten the tank down to half a tank of gas from the last time it was filled up. Combined with a half tank of fresh fuel, plus the stabil added I would think I'd be ok yes/no? Thoughts
I have had to use about 2 to 3 times the amount recommended for the first couple of tanks to get decent performance the next spring but it would depend on how long you would be storing it as I store for 4 1/2 months minimum.
on my way home from my last ride of the season i stop at the gas station and fill it up with premium. in the spring i hit the start button and go riding for the season.
used stabile once in my life and it was the only time my bike ran like crap when i took it out coincidence??? anymore i put nothing in my fuel tank but fuel. just my.02

StaBil recommends adding their product to "fresh" gas because StaBil isn't going to clean-up gas that's already contaminated.
I ride my bike to the gas station, add an ounce of StaBil, top off the tank, and ride it home.
