I haven't been doing this for long, but never offer what they are asking. If the bike is 7k, tell em you have 6k cash in hand. Most people should be negotiable and cash is always king.

OP, just an example for ya. I just a couple months ago picked up my first Harley. 06 softail standard FI with 8800miles for $7200 with tons of added chrome including lower legs and chrome aftermarket wheels.

That's a good looking bike no doubt, but I think for the money their asking you could get one a few years newer that has the 200 rear tire (which was a big deal to me in the looks Dept.). It may not have as many chrome doodads on it, but that stuff can be added slowly as you can.

I would buy that for $6800 OTD. Gotta discount it for those played out pipes...

I imagine he's saying that because you see those pipes on every other bike. Kinda played out. But that doesn't make it a bad pipe. Hell I hated the straight shots that were on my bike, but that didn't keep me from buying it. With that said, my bassani pro streets should be on my steps tomorrow. At the end of the day, you are the one that has to love it, take care of it, and spend your hard earned money on it. I see stuff on bikes all the time, that I wouldn't be caught dead with, but obviously the owner likes it. If everyone was the same and liked the same stuff blue Bell wouldn't make so many different flavors.....
