To Mr. Love Jugs, a question: Has your company ever considered making a fan-equipped oil cooler? That seems like
it would cool the engine and also have the benefit of being able to direct the hot post-cooler air downward and
away from the rider.

I bought Luv Jugs to be cooler in the summer but it blows the heat directly on to my right leg. I would o with the Harley CoolFn as it blows the heat away from you, but I haven’t yet tried one. I do have a Luv Jug I’ll sell you cheap 🙂

I don't know about this kinda snake oil, I read a post where some other vendor stated the fork mounted deflectors caused overheating, then others who claim the Desert Dawg soft lowers cooled the engine, then these attachments work but boil the thigh?

Moving hot air is just moving hot air - so the heads are supposedly cooler? what about the rest of the mechanicals? Ive heard the soft lowers mentioned above lower temps as much as the luv jugs do? so for me Id get a multi functioning accessory which is cheaper - Desert Dawgs to cool (as tested similar to the luv jugs) and a product that helps with buffeting, keeps you as dry as possible on a motorcycle & the price is way way less!

It's good to know that my assessment is share by others.
I still use my luv jugs but generally only when riding in cooler weather as they keep my ***** warm

How does artificially cooling the head temp sensor and blowing hot air into your intake help anything at all?

Running logs while the fan is off and intake temps climb fast while stopped but then drop when the bike is in motion. With the fans on, the intake temp takes longer to drop and doesn't drop as far.
The fans point right at the head and the head temp sensor "fooling" your engine into thinking it's cooler than it is and not turning on the EITMS or whatever it's called.

In short, it's a good idea but poorly thought out. If anything they should be mounted lower, pointing at the jugs and blowing from the other side of the engine and not left side blowing hot air into the intake.

OR just don't even bother as the engine has been proven 100 billion times over and over that it doesn't need little fans blowing on it.

I do like the idea of a fan cooled oil cooler under the bike though, with the fan blowing down ofcourse

Have a problem with a company selling a product for over $400 then telling you you need to buy $150 in extra parts in order to install it. H-D isn't even that bad.

Got my love jugs mighty mites installed this weekend. Was pretty straight forward. I used the frame mount kit. Well made, good instructions, and the company was very responsive to my questions. I wired direct to my battery (2014 Ultra Limited pretty much stock motor).
I got these because I'm doing the Run For The Wall again this year and we sit in fuel lines sometimes in hot weather for a very long time. I will turn them on as I exit the Interstate and leave them on till I get parked after fill up. I know they can run all the time, just probably wont.

I have a set of Mighty Mites on my 2006 FLHTCUI w95" Conversion and factory sidecar. After the 95 conversion the heat coming off of the motor trapped between the car and RH side of the bike made it brutal on the passenger. I called them(love Jugs) and explained that I wanted to reverse the flow and remove the heat as opposed to blowing cool air across the cylinders. They said easy deal. The told me to take the set screws out of the housings and flip the fans around and it worked great. Changed the temp from the hack/bike area by a HUGE amount. But problem two reared its head. The rear cylinder fan blew the hot air directly at the riders knee area. I needed to direct it rear ward as opposed to sending straight out. I found that an aluminum ice cream scoop fit the housing so fabbed it into a "Scoop" by removing the handle and polishing it smooth. I attached it to the rear fan and it directs the air rearward. Made the bike rideable again.

Pix in trial stages, hose clamp holding it in place

Directing airflow rearward. Scoop now attached with SS screws.
Neither they nor I have any idea how long they will last with the heat going around the fan motor, time will tell. I can tell you they are a good company and their product works as intended, and also not exactly as they intended. This has made a miserable situation much better.

Keeps em cool!!!
