Been considering them for my sled because of the Florida heat, just for peace of mind. I have heard good things about how well they work, but have been wondering a couple things:

How reliable are they? It has been my experience that many times that I have installed something electrical & aftermarket on any vehicle, such as lights, horns, A/C, etc, they have crapped out very quickly. Are these fans reliable?

Do you need to remove them to change spark plugs?

Time will tell on reliability.

I think yes you will have to remove them to change plugs, but It is just one bolt, every 25 k miles or so. Let them hang by the wire or support them with a bungee cord.

I put the Wards fans on my Dyna TC which ran hot even with a decat. They still work well after 4 years. My M8 FLRT has the fan cooled oil cooler and that's all I need. It's just my perception, nothing scientific but it just seems the M8 runs cooler than the TC.Thats all I got.

Like Rigg eluded too; the Love Jugs work as they are designed but that heat has to go somewhere.
For my ride that somewhere is at my right thigh and crotch (between the seat and the tank).

In the summer the blowing heat is almost unbearable so I rarely turn them on however if you're in a stalled parade/line and it's hot enough that your engine is overheating, you probably are already uncomfortable so you might as well turn the fans on so your engine gets some cooling.

The Capt. Itch crotch cooler really helps as a heat shield.

I would NEVER buy from that company and it`s not because they are ugly. Some people will understand why.
