Default My new garage door opener

I bought a new chamberlan garage door opener, it does not work with my Harley door opener. Looking at Genie belt drive model1042-TKFV. Does anyone know if this will work with Harley opener?

I don't know about what works with the Harley opener but if you have trouble finding something that works an option i did is get a garage mate. It is a Bluetooth device that allows you to open your garage door with your cellphone that most of us always have on us anyway. Or on my ultra classic I took an actual garage remote and wired it to an external button that I can access from the seat. The remote is hidden inside my fairing.

None of the new door garage door openers will work with the Harley opener. There are some threads here about it here. What I did was purchase another remote and solder the leads from HD opener to the switch on the opener and placed by the garage opener. When I hit my high beam switch, the bike sends the signal to th HD receiver, HD receiver closes the switch (just as you had press the remote switch) and the remote then sends the rolling code to the opener.

Have you looked at Chamberlin/Liftmaster Homelink Compatibility Bridge?

I have the chamberlain myQ that allows you to open your door anywhere/time with your smartphone. You can set up alerts that lets you know if the door was open, how long etc.. pretty neat.

Garage door opener manufacturers change their signal encoding technology every so often, and are not compatible with older remote control technology. We moved to a new house recently, and the pocket remote I carry when on the bike will not function with the newer garage door opener. I went on amazon and found a keychain size remote that works with the newer opener. It doesn't say Harley on it, though.

My opener has cell phone capability, but it's too much trouble to remove glove, pull the phone from my pocket, unlock it, open the app and activate door. I just carry a remote clipped to my windshield bag.

I just put the opener gizmo in the sleeve pocket of my jacket. Reach over and push the buttons without even taking it out. Easy button.

Is there a proximity-based app for cell phones? It would be cool to have your door automatically open if your phone is close enough to connect to your home wifi.

Look up creative access solutions on eBay. You need to buy a plug in part that will make your Harley opener work with the chamberlain. They run about 50 bucks or so. He is in cali and ships super fast. If I get a chance tomorrow I'll snap a pic of mine. My opener works perfectly
