Default How long do you warm your engine up?

The Amsoil blog has a pretty interesting article on engine warm up:

Myself, I always let my bike run while I'm putting in my earplugs, strapping on my helmet and getting my gloves on. What say you?

I let mine run long enough to put my gear on, then I take off. I haven't looked to see if it's in the manual for my ultra, but I had a sportster that the manual said to let the engine run for 30 seconds before taking off.

I do about the same. I start the bike in the garage, back it down the driveway and park on the street, walk up to the garage, grab helmet, ear plugs and gloves, put those on while walking down the driveway and closing the garage. Then get on bike and slowly take off.

One to five minutes. Or until my back jug feels warm.

I back mine out of the garage, put kickstand down, fire up bike. Put on jacket, helmet, gloves, remount bike and off I go.

As long as it takes me to put my gear on at a leisurely pace, and check the lights.

Not sure, my normal routine is to push it out of the garage, start it up, look for my gloves, go back in house , find gloves head back out, look for phone or wallet, go back inside , look for a couple minutes there finally find each , head back outside- think about what I'm doing or going, and then take off, on a good day Probably around 5 Min, on a bad day about 15min and have the neighbors ask why I let the bike idle for so long-
