Got an offer of $15k on a bike I spent $21.7 on last month.
If I were desperate, maybe. Since I'm not, I'll let it set in the garage for now. Someone will be interested soon enough.
one month of ownership and you're selling the bike? buyers remorse?
Low offers are one thing, I requested an offer on my wife's bike and my bike. They wouldn't make an offer on her custom Yamaha, too old maybe, 2001. My Dyna offer was $1200...... Even KBB trade in value for her stock bike was $2000, and mine is over $5000. I know they are both worth more than that, and expected something a little less than trade in value. Why would anyone get rid of their stuff that low??? Even in a soft market, half of KBB would be understandable, but 75% of it's value.... really?
I bought my 1998 Dyna at the beginning of Winter for $2,000. Contacted RO a few months later just to see what they would give me for it, they offered me $2,000 for it. I sold it the following week to the first guy that came by to look at it for $4,500. IIRC KBB was about $6,000 for dealer retail excellent condition (which I thought was a bit high)
Rumble on is there to make money, they only want bikes they can flip quickly. Older bikes, more chances of problems, less profit for them. I don't see any reason to get upset if they offer you a low ball price, just take it as a data point and move on.
Crippled from surgery away from home nobody had any interest In a superglide in New England, $600 bucks to ship home, my friend who sells them told me I'd be lucky to get $6200 down south (soft market and he said their offer was more than they'd give me for a trade}.
Hello Rumbleon? done deal no BS. no haggling, no tire kickers, no questions about holding the note. Done easy peasy.
I just sold a 2005 Honda Reflex scooter. KBB said it was worth around $1500, but RumbleOn only offered $400. I figured I'd get a lowball offer, but not *that* low!
I sold it myself thru Craigslist for $1400. Yeah, I had to live with 2 weeks of tire kickers, but at least I got closer to what it was worth.
I normally eyeball the Rumble on site several times a week. The last few weeks all I get is a blank web page. They out of business or ?
They recently started listing cars and other vehicles. Maybe it has something to do with that? I find the app is a real PIA to use when searching. At least on an iPhone it is.
My experience is that they low ball offer pricing. They were $2,500 below NADA for trade in. I already got an offer $1,500 higher than them from a local dealer. I expect the low ball offer from the HD dealer.
