It's ok, you're still embracing this new lifestyle change. It will be a little while before you can face yourself in the mirror and admit you now ride a bagger.
How you enjoying that new king? I have to admit the new RK has been the only thing the MOCO has made in the 21st century that has tempted me to pop for a new bike.

Don't ride one or you'll be opening the wallet, love this thing it's a joy riding again.
It did, I started hearing the term Bagger back when easy financing and the chubby middle class came into things, had to have the room to haul all the **** they think you have to have to ride a motorcycle. It really took off with the twinkie crew.
I agree with lots of that.
But guys with storage ride more, than guys without. Are you saying before TC guys took their cars alot?
No proof, but I am thinking FLHS, same frame. The FLHRs became popular, bags, same frame, but no fairing. Not all TCs, but evolved with it.

Maybe now, before baggers replaced bikers we got along fine with less crap and did just as much riding on much more primitive bikes.
I will say the windshield on the RK is getting good to me, got caught in the rain thursday morning and for the first time I wasn't cussing like a drill sergeant with a sore tooth

Maybe you are more a man than me, and can get your OL to pick up beer and groceries. Actually I am not married, so I have to get those myself.
Ya when I had a little back I carried dog food, laundry in a garbage bag, or took the beer out of the box so they would fit. But I will stand by the statement, those with storage ride more.
Nothing to do with luxory, unless you think toilet paper is.
This week they had family pack of steaks on sale. No family, but the came home in the trunk, on way home from work.

Zerk you'd be amazed at some of the crap I've hauled on 2 wheels with no bags or a trunk, bike was my transportation for a year once and a midwest winter in there too. It's all in the want brother.
A softail with hard bags and fairing would be a cross dresser.
Hey hey now... I nearly resemble that remark! She's my softail bagger and that's that. Park her next to a RoadKing and only the folks that are in the "know" and paying close attention can see the differences.
Bagger is easy. Anything with saddlebags is a bagger. I first remember the term
about (mumble) years ago as an insult because you should be riding a chopper.
Full dress Harley had a windshield and saddlebags.
