That engine has been in transit for twelve days; freight moved faster than that 100 years ago. I'd be PO'd too.
LTL capacity is tight right now, almost every carrier is behind and experiencing service failures, being in Florida makes it worse. That doesn't change the fact that it's frustrating.

Understood, but LTL is also the cheapest way to ship. The MoCo could spend a few more bucks and get it there a few days sooner if they cared about their customers - and their reputation as a Motor Company.
Bike went on the lift June 1st, ordered verbally June 2nd with photos, approved by the Moco verbally June 5th, written order number came June 9th, shipping date June 21st, engine has not arrived, Rossmeyers called me today and said there is no shipping tracking number so they don't know where it is, supposed to be coming from Milwaukee. They promised to chase it tomorrow IF the factory is open tomorrow otherwise they will call first thing Wednesday.
bummer.... my company does a lot of expedited shipping... well that's to say I have to expedite a lot of materials because we have idiots working for us and they wait until everything is out and the line is down!! overnight or second day is possible if one requests it. I suspect there is no sense of urgency by either party.
I wish you the best...and look forward to hearing their resolution!! hoping you have a happy 4th regardless!!

Don't expect an answer of any kind until July 5. This is one of the most important holidays in this country.
Well I did hear from Rossmeyers this weekend, unbelievably there is no tracking number so nobody seems to know where my motor is. I called the MOCO today and was very nice (unusual for me), the good news is the guy did have records of my warranty work and tried to get in touch with the factory that makes the engines, but of course it's July 3rd and nobody's working today. He did call me back so props to him.
Wednesday I expect an answer about where this motor is and how much longer it's going to take to arrive. I made noises that I'm expecting my bike to be trailered to my garage so we'll see if that happens. Warranty on the new engine will be my next conversation, I did ask the service tech at Rossmeyers and he wasn't sure. Whatever they give me I will make sure it's in writing from the MOCO.
