Default Some praise for Bell Helmets

I have a Bell RS-1 full-face helmet and really like it. One of its features is that it has a magnetic attachment setup on the chin straps so that the magnets tuck the straps such that they do not buffet in the wind. Nice setup. Well, mine turned up missing after a long ride. Don't know what happened.

I called Bell customer service and they put one out for delivery. No charge. It came yesterday and snapped right into place. Nice customer service and I thought that they deserved an honorable mention on this forum.

The helmet is 3 1/2 years old, so I'm not complaining about the little snap issue. But it is nice to have the helmet back like new.

I've always liked Bell helmets. Used them when I was sports car racing and now on my bike.

I'm going to be the party pooper here and complain about Bell. I bought a brand new Pitt Boss about 4 years ago. When I wasn't wearing it I stored it in my house. After a year I notice that the coating on the liner was starting to flake and come off and stick to my hair and forehead, also I had issues with the ratchet thing that tightens the helmet on the back of your head it came apart a few times when I was putting the lid on. I contacted Bell and because I was out of warranty by 3 months they would sell me the replacement parts but not give them to me. I decided to go another route and won't be purchasing any Bell products again. My HJC modular is 1 year older than the Bell with no issues, my half helmet is a Daytona and no issues to date. My $.02

I love my Bell Evo.
Not only do I have no complaints, but yeah..... that magnetic chin strap fastener is a fantastic feature.

I bought two Bell Pit Boss', in Black Ops Camo, last week. I've always worn full-face helmets, but bought my first Harley a week ago and decide I wanted to be comfortable in this Kansas heat (we hit 104 this week!). Got to say I love this helmet. I bought it because it was the only one I found that didn't seem to give me "mushroom head". The size adjuster is a nice feature, plus the pull down visor when you want to use it.

I bought my flattrack bike as a teen, but my parents bought me a new, orange Bell Star in 1973. LOVED that helmet. It was the shyt back then. Like a dumb ***, didn't keep it forever.

Hmmm. Maybe they have changed their policy because Bell CS didn't even ask me when I bought the helmet or anything. Money was never even mentioned. She just made sure she knew what parts I needed, took my address, and a week later it showed up in the mailbox. Not even sure she asked my name!
