Make sure you or your mechanic put in a new needle valve, and you may as well replace the plastic intake nipple with a solid brass one while you're at it.
Drop bowl, clean out with carb cleaner. Shoot carb cleaner down the throat and up thru all the openings available from the bowl area. Reinstall bowl using existing gasket. $3.99 for carb cleaner and this will fix 95% of all issues from sitting for extended time periods. Good luck.
