Harley-Davidson, like Indian, is extremely serious about mass producing electric motorcycles as soon as possible, possibly as a model year 2019. H-D just filed an application to trademark the name Revelation with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for motorcycle powertrain, batteries and chargers. Milwaukee already uses similar sounding names like the Evolution and Revolution X for some of its v-twin engine models.
I want one. They had a couple of Alta dirt bikes on Top Gear last night and they looked pretty damn powerful. I would say anything resembling a touring or long distance machine is years off but a little day cruiser, bobber, bar hopper type thing is coming soon. It is all in the battery life. If they make a bigger bike it can have more capacity.
I would like to see them put out an electric sport bike, a cool commuter. Finally do something before the other big manufacturers.
It's all a conspiracy. They talk about the adverse affects of living too near high-tension power lines, now they want you to put your ***** right on top of an EMF source.

I purchased an electric Harley for my great grandson for Christmas. Got it at Walmart for 200.00. He loves it. Other than that I have no interest other than watching what will be another HD train wreck.

Bet they said the same thing the first time someone tucked the ***** right up next to a tank of gas for the first motorcycle..
