Ripped heat shield

So, anyone else ever have this problem? Think it was the first the dealer had seen on it, still waiting to hear if it's covered by warranty

When I first noticed it after getting it back.

About 100 miles later, currently held on by a out 3/16ths of material
I plan on swapping exhausts later but can't do it right now. Guess if I find out tomorrow if it was covered, if not guess that's why there's a WTB section lol.

Stress crack, should be warranty covered unless you have modded the exhaust.

10, maybe 12 years ago I was in need of new shields. Was able to find them quite cheap online. But I suspect yours should be covered so best of luck.

I'd be willing to bet that if you have anything at all done to the exhaust they'll nix that claim real quick. Good luck with it.

I have seen it on Bikes & cars, stress crack.

Like stated depends on it it's been messed with or not.

Fixed a few cracks like it, turn that welder way down so you don't blow a hole in it.
