Well, I just learned something. I put the Troll on my ignore list yesterday. So now, I don't see his posts but I still see all the replies. I was hoping that having him on the ignore list would block his threads entirely.

Later, he called me and said that he thought that he had found his problem (and he did). It turned out to be that the fuse in the pigtail that connects the battery tender to the battery was "blown"!
One new battery totally ruined and the second may be if he cannot get it to hold a charge. ALWAYS CHECK THE CHEAP, SIMPLE STUFF FIRST!

If the fuse is blown it's not going to recharge. If they just kept hooking it up, thinking it was working when it was blown, you can't blame the Battery Tender for ruining the battery. The status light will indicate if it's being charged or not. Sounds like they were probably just hooking it up and not looking.
