I started out riding an 883 Sportster, it was my first motorcycle, so I had nothing to compare it to. My girlfriend and I rode it everywhere, after I installed a back rest and whatever the most comfortable passenger seat was at the time (1994). I was about 20 years younger and 20 lbs lighter and she was about 120 lbs. We had a blast and distance was never an issue.
