Default 2017 or 2018 Limited?

Ok folks, what's your opinion about new discounted 2017 Limited or regular price 2018. Discount is probably about 3k. I will know next Tuesday.

Thanks ahead of time.

Dave

This is a tough year in my opinion to decide. Rumors of new improvements to the frame are surfacing and maybe some other changes. If the 19's are not any different then the 17's and 18's will both be great deals (but you have to wait another year.) If none of that matters then get the 17 now. Just my way of thinking. I'm going to hold out a few months and see what they come up with.

When I was facing the same decision, the only thing I as told is 18 has second year motor improvements. Not sure what those were. Get the one that is the color you want...

Shop around to different dealers. Find one who has sold all of their '17 LTDs. New Harley sales are in the toilet, so you might be able to get an '18 for close to the same price as a '17. There is about $5000 in mark up for them to play with on an '18, plus any incentives the MoCo may have on the '17s. Imo, $3k off a year old leftover isn't much of a bargain.

If you're talking about the '18 Softails, then yeah.

But we're talking about a touring bike here. No difference other than colors.

I doubt any engine changes have been made between model year 17 and 18. I would shop around if all they offer is 3K off on a 2017 left over. I got more of a discount than that for my 2017 and it was still model year 17.
