Where did you get it. I could only find it from sellers in Euorpe and didn't want to take a chance if it didn't fit. I had an original Shark Evoline but sold it because it was too heavy. I liked the way the chin guard would fold over to the back and not cause buffeting when you rode in 3/4 mode.

I'm in the market for a modular as well, got the choices narrowed down to a couple of new models - the Nolan N100-5 or the HJC RPHA 90.

Leaning towards the Nolan because it's rated for riding at speed with the chin bar up.

Hate to say this, but one of the main benefits of a modular is to be able to have the chin guard down at speed. I flip open the front of my Schuberth C3 Pro at low speeds, but at high speed it's closed.

Not much point in a modular if you are going to wear it like an open faced helmet at speed. Not much time to flip the chin guard down if something happens - and I quite like my butch manly chin.

Not saying I would use it that way ALL the time, but if I wanted to on occasion it's good to know the helmet is capable of doing it.

Can't beat the Schuberth. You should be able to find a C3 Pro on closeout from one of the usual outlets. Check out:

The Visorshop is in the UK, but they have superfast shipping to the U.S. and a great return policy. Ride safe!

Kabuto is absolutely one of the best bang for the buck "unknown" helmets on the market. They are sometimes hard to find but the quality, design and workmanship is some of the best around. Do a Google search.

USA doesn't give a crap. Mostly just particular states with actual helmet laws. Even then, I've never heard of anyone asked to see the DOT sticker. Most riders I know scrape them off anyway.

As for insurance companies, maybe after the fact if there was an actual head injury and it went to court, it might get used as ammunition to deny a claim. Never heard of it happening either.

After any of my accidents, the police ask if I was wearing a helmet and later insurance. Nothing about model, rating, etc...

Bell Evo here.
For 200 bucks it seems like a good helmet. It does have wind noise when I don't use my windshield, and it's not terribly light, but it fits ME great, opens and closes easily, and I like the drop down tinted visor. I would buy another one.

Depends on the market.

My Schuberth (made in Germany) helmet has a DOT sticker, as does my Nolan (made in Italy).
