Where did you get it. I could only find it from sellers in Euorpe and didn't want to take a chance if it didn't fit. I had an original Shark Evoline but sold it because it was too heavy. I liked the way the chin guard would fold over to the back and not cause buffeting when you rode in 3/4 mode.
Chromeburner, which is a euro site, so there is that risk. Mine was actually a bit tight, but I was able to remove some of the foam in the ear pads and a ~1/4 inch rubber sheet at the forehead to gain enough space and be quite comfortable.
My Schuberth (made in Germany) helmet has a DOT sticker, as does my Nolan (made in Italy).
Schuberth helmets are (made in Germany) made ECE approved, and some (for USA) are ECE and DOT aproved.
Having a DOT approved helmet may not be A issue for some, but it was for me.
Some sellers from the UK and other counties and sites like Amazon , Ebay, ECT, sell Schuberth sell the ECE approve only Helmet cheaper
Than stores and outlets here in the USA with DOT helmets.
The Choice is up to the buyer.
One of the best rated modulars is the Shoei Neo-tec. Right now the 2 is out and is very pricy but a lot of the helmet dealers still have the original neo-tec. I picked mine up for $520 which is just over your price but it is a great helmet. Very comfortable, great feel and great reviews and ratings. Always one of the highest rated modular helmets.
I picked up an original Neotec for $499 absolutely 2 months ago. I imagine they are getting hard to find now. Very happy with it.
Actually, most of the time, i'll use my half helmet, sometimes out in the hill country with sparse traffic, none at all. When it's bone cold, or in the hundreds with a long ride, i'll use the 3/4 mod. to keep the sun off my mug.

Ah Yeah, I remember those days, No Windshield, No Helmet.
Those were the days of thunder.
I have to use Full face modular now, I just had liver transplant from cancer in the liver. With the anti rejection Meds I can not be in the sun or the cancer will come back.
I hate the slimy Suntan lotion, so it means long sleeves and a Schuberth full face modular with the sun shade that pulls down to cover my face, and nose
