Default Rider backrest storage options

I have searched online and only found 2-3 pretty expensive options. I am looking for something that either attaches to or slides over the rider backrest that has a storage pocket on the back large enough to hold a phone. I found the HD option for $100, and one or two aftermarket options that are $50 plus.
Do any of you have something that works that isn't so expensive? or have you spent the money for the HD one and feel it is worth every penny?
My wife will take maybe 3 trips a year with me so I am having a hard time dropping $100.
I need to order something this week we are leaving on July 13th and I want it for that trip.

Not to be funny....but have you considered one of these? It's like $10

The adjustable band would allow you to cinch it as tight as you would need it and allow for your passenger to be able to access it and its water resistant.

I hadn't thought of that, she did mention on the last ride that she needed a fanny pack, but she was half way kidding. Thank you for the suggestion, I will grab one and try it out and provided that it tightens down around the backrest you just saved me at least $100.

G'day mate.

I use this. See below.

You were not clear (I think) if ur wife is going on the trip or not. U just said she goes on 3-4 trips a year.

If she is not going with you, I find what u see below that works GREAT! Do not know price. Do not seel it anymore I think. U maybe can get a cheap used on.

It is water PROOF.

Thank you for the suggestion, I am looking for something that she can use while sitting back there for her phone and whatever else she feels like she needs at her fingertips.

That was the front runner for me but Im just having a hard time justifying the cost for 3-4 trips per year, If it holds up that well maybe i should take another look.
I did order that fanny pack that Queen recommended so I will try that for our next trip and see how it goes, any complaints and I'll be spending $115.. My main reason for not wanting to spend the money is I will likely take it off unless she is touring with me so it will sit around the garage most of the time.

If it's for your missus to use, look into one of those Thigh bags that you wear like wild west holster. Hangs off your belt with a strap that goes round your leg. Plenty of room for all her wifey stuff, and when you stop for a break the bag goes with her when she dismounts, so nothing gets left behind for the light fingered to make off with.

If the $115 option is what really looks like it will work the best, and you love your wife, it’s worth it. I’m sure you have much more expensive stuff that sits around and only gets used a few times a year lol.

[QUOTE=show-n-go;17467744..... but Im just having a hard time justifying the cost for 3-4 trips per year, [/QUOTE]

......... a hundred bucks for 3 or 4 trips of peace & contentment for the OL ?
....... such a deal ....... just shut up & get it installed !
.... fully amortize that cost over 3 or 4 trips this year, and it's free for the rest of yer life
