Default Stage III done

I had the stage III done while on vacation, picked up the bike and am very pleased so far. I am in the break-in period again but I have twisted the throttle a few times, money well spent for me.

You cant break it in any harder then what the dyno already has.
117 right?
Thats about one HP per cube, built for longevity.

Then I'd be VERY interested in what you've done to your 103 to get that kind of horsepower out if it...

Curious - what all does a "Stage III" entail? Just heads? Throttle body?

I just finished stage II and need to plan for this winter...

Never seen a graph so bumpy for "smoothing 5."

Surprised they started your pull at 1600 rpm. That's kinda low. Good numbers though.
To get those, you must have spent some money.

This is one of the greatest arguments on the net.
I will try to deposit a little light on it.
This is what I know - really expensive engines are always broke-in on dynos.
Considerations is the ring pack.
Expensive rings such as the- * 9 to12-pound ones, require a few more cycles b4 much running up.
Very very important!
They will work better, seal better, but require absolute dictatorship ritual B4 any run at all!
Back to the dyno break in- not all but most are done and over in an hour and even less.
Everything is monitored.
They start with idle a small "pull" then cool dwn and off.
Check over.
This is progressively done untill 100% is reached.
Thet do this several times watching manometer, and everything else, until rings are sealed.
The only things going to change in a break-in is the rings, and with flat tappets cam break(in ( Obviously not HD )

*When you buy rings buy these!
There is no use in using rings that require 30 lbs drag to move!
Old standard rings should not even be considered unless you are dead broke. (why people continue to use them is more then I will ever know)
Old school rings are cheap, stone age, eat up power, and cause a lot of heat!

Thanks, I've heard similar info before in regards to high performance cars.
It does make sense and it's obvious they ran the snot out of it to get the numbers.
They forgot to put speedo sensor back on and he explained to me they disconnect it so they can get past the tuner restrictions. This tells me there is room for a lot more. I'm not a speed racer but I want it when I want it and am just as happy cruising and enjoying the ride.

I told a friend, i'm not one to get geeked about much but I am happy with the end result and money well spent for me.

The biggest deal is- get the rings seated.
Like i said- "you have to know what you have for rings to do it right."

I never understood the "Break IN" after its been on the drum. Or the break in tune and then bring it back. What??

When I did my 106 kit, i assembled it, started it and checked for leaks. Put the bike on the trailer and dropped it off to get tuned.
Picked the bike up and it was good to go, done.
