Same here I always buy last year of previous models of cars or bikes. All issues are fixed by then.

I bought my 17 Road King in October of 16 its been trouble free. Yes I'd buy another new M8 but really have no need to. I like my bike.

Some of those posting sound like the types that don't ride because the weather person is saying there's a 20 to 30% chance of rain.
That said.
It seems as you (tnheritage) have plenty of company. I suggest you go looking for all the defective items on the last new car you bought.
