thats what Im looking at but trying to find those that fit my bike are pretty hard. Also idk what else Im going to need to get. As in extra wires and all.
You will have to get extended brake and clutch lines as well as extended TBW wiring. I have NAMZ in mine. My last SG had 20" apes and I loved them, I went 16" this time just for a change and after I got used to them I love them as well. Like someone else said above you have to adjust your low speed techinque a bit but I simply am not comfortable with low bars. 6'2" tall.
ETA: I ordered mine at my local dealer and I'm not sure if they are HD or some other mfg.

Actually I would as all I like to ride is thetwisties and from my front door it takes less than 5 miles to start my 250 mile loop of twisties. With taller bars it takes less pressure to counter steer a bike so it actually makes it easier.
As for how hard I ride them I don't think I do it as hard as I used to but I still have friends that think I go too fast..
I wouldnt be dragging footboards 2 up with tall apes, trust me!
Depending on height, you'll need all new cables, brake lines, and possibly wiring....plus dealer labor cost of 6-8 hours........you're looking at $900-1500.......that's what some people I know paid for their bagger ape install.

Sorry you can't ride....(was that pic supposed to shock and wow us)?
I've got 18" apes on my Softail, that has logged more miles in the mountain twistie's than most, my bagger has 14" apes. You couldn't run off and leave either one behind...
Love the look of the apes! I'm not ready yet but go for it brother!
I think our brains adapt to whatever riding we do and the bar position our hands have. It all a learning curve. Get a buddy, measure your ideal hand position +/- a cool position, done!
Apes are out there, that's why they are still cool!
Ride safe!

Then you've obviously never ridden with apes. I have 14" Yaffee's on mine, and I scrape rather regularly. I promise, you and I on a ride together, you're never gonna have to wait for me to keep up.
Installed mine myself...with the help of youtube. I stayed within the cable limits, so it saved me some coins. Handles great and solved my lower back pains.
