Default Best HD for two up?

This may well be one of those unanswerable questions, but I’ll ask anyway.
After years of Jap stuff, I took out a ’07 heritage last weekend and I’m sold, which won’t surprise anyone.
Thing is, which one to get? I like the look of the Dyna’s and the Softtail’s but as the majority of miles will be with the good lady, I figure I should get the one that handles best when ridden two up.
I saw a road test on the dyna, that said how great it handled etc and then said it was less than perfect two up L But that’s just the view of a motorcycle hack who was probably wishing they were on the latest Jap rocket and had missed the point completely.
So, folks when one hits the twist bits and traffic, what would you recommend?

Your question is very hard to answer. Sort of like asking what is the best steak, or the best camper. I perfer a dresser so I decided on the Street Glide, it has the shield with a radio and good wind protection, but also a low slung look. Others prefer the Ultra, and others the stripped down versions. Good luck with your decision, just keep riding. Herb

Electraglide Classic. In my opinion.

Hit the official HD web site and select the "Touring bikes", entry level is the Roadking, and it tops out with the Ultra Classic.

Either the EG Classic or Ultra Classic...pictured below!

Bought this bike for two-up riding and have never been disappointed!

The Dynas are a little tight fitting for two up riding in my opinion. The Softails don't have the greatest suspension for two up riding, and they don't handle the greatest, especially two up.

Both the Dynas and the Softails have it going on in the looks department, butthe best bike for two up riding, especially if you are doing road trips, is a dresser. Road King or SGfor looks, EG Standardfor value, EG Classic for somewhere in the middle, and the Ultra for the ulitmate in two up touring. Don't forget the Road Glide, which is probably the best handling, most stable HD out there for hitting the slab and hammering out miles.

You cannot go wrong with any of the FLH models for 2 up riding. I have been 2 up on long trips on softies and Dynas and they are not in the same league with the FLH's. That is what they were built for.

If you are just headed to the local bike night, then a softie is fine, but not for any serious 2 up touring.

I own a 06 Heritage Classic and ride two up all the time and never had a problem. I've rode RK's and dyna's as well andeach one is diffrent. It is all in what you like. Rent a few of them ride two up with the little lady and find what's right for you. Everyone is going to have a diffrent opinion on what is the best. Good Luck to you!!
