I will see if the dealer will take them back in trade for something else, but the damn things are so comfortable I hate to give them up.
Maybe a shoe shop could sew a velcro strap on them.
Thanks for all the answers.

Our friend Tony had that problem. The HD Dealer he bought them fromwould do nothing. He found a little independant leather shop that sold Harley boots. That guy replaced them for him and said he could send those back to Harley as defective and get the money back.
There are a lot of "little" shoe shops that sell harley boots. Like Heather said, you'll get better service and usually a better price. As for the zipper; my current HD boots are about 6 yrs old and I haven't had a problem yet. The reason they are so comfortable marsh, is because they are made by Wolverine, which are made by Hush Puppy

Thanks Sam, I wondered who made them. They really are comfortable, but I keep having to pull the zips up.

Wolverine World Wide owns Wolverine and Hush Puppy along with Merrel and several other footwear brands. Wolverine sells the HD brand to HD dealers and other stores. All the HDboots are made in China. I'm not sure but I don't think Wolverine makes anything in the US anymore.

Are you sure about that? Like I said in my post above, I have the HD "Sheridan" and on the tag they say they are "made in China".
Most, but not all shoe companies go off shore these days. Unfortunate fact of our global economy.

PS: those are some good looking Justins, but I'm too big arounf the middle to lace up something like that too often.

My zips started to work their way down so I now zip up and wrap the laces around the top of the boot and under the zipper pull tab and tie the bow.No big deal and the zippers stay up.
