Bought a pair of HD Brake Light boots; I was not specificaly shopping for them at the time, I was walking through Sears and saw they carried boots, $80, a littleoff($35-$40)the dealers price.
Wolverine World Wide owns Wolverine and Hush Puppy along with Merrel and several other footwear brands. Wolverine sells the HD brand to HD dealers and other stores. All the HDboots are made in China. I'm not sure but I don't think Wolverine makes anything in the US anymore.

The reason they are so comfortable marsh, is because they are made by Wolverine, which are made by Hush Puppy
Are you sure about that? Like I said in my post above, I have the HD "Sheridan" and on the tag they say they are "made in China".
You can by a lace in zipper at a uniform supply store. The kind of place that sells equipment for LEO's, FD'S, and such. I have some on a couple pair and they work good. Only they're on the front of the boot not the side. But they to have the velcro safes on them like the side zips I wear in the summer.
Best boots I ever used for riding are ex Firefighter boots. Full calf length with Goretex waterproof liners and with a steel toe cap. If you can get em from salvage companies etc well worth buying
