Sounds like a solid plan and a good start. I’ve been down that road a couple of times myself and a few months after, you’ll wish you’d have done the heads and gotten bigger cams. LOL, It never ends which is why I haven’t cracked the engine open on my current HD.
Buy a tuner once that can grow with the bike.
Don’t let the warranty worry warts convince you to stick with SE crap. Either wait 2 years or don’t worry about it. Also, each dealer varies on how they process warranties.
