Rats I got my reply that 3rd gear bite the dust and metal everywhere in transmission! And my fault for add ins that voided warranty, again my fault, just didnt think a newer bike would spit up all over the transmission! Now trying to decide to replace gear set with hd(no warranty) or baker and pay 3x the cost???but no way do I want a ding wing!
Did you do the Stage 2? Or did the dealer do it? If the dealer did it and it's in fact a standard stage 2 install HD is supposed to stand behind and warranty that. Is this the dealer you bought the bike from?
The old saying you get what you pay for applies here. Why buy another possible grenade from Harley when you can get a bullet proof setup? Of course it costs more but you'll never have to worry about it again. Since your warranty is being voided buy what you need from baker and fix it yourself and you'll probably be close to what the dealer would charge to fix it with their junk.
New gear set is on the way, Baker 7, 5 yr warranty vs hd 1 year on new gear set, could not make sense of that, but with no reasons for original fail I cant risk another grinder, very happy with everything else I have upgraded ! life is an education, already having withdrawals a whole week with no ride! Thank you all for replies!!

This is why my advise to all is do no mods til the warranty expires.
#1 It gives the bike time to show all manufacturer defects
#2 When mods are done by a dealer you get more warranty
#3 You might find that as is the bike is good enough

Did you go through a dealer? No problem if you did but going directly through us gets you the Hdforums discount.

The original quote was to remove a damaged hd transmission and replace with a piece by piece hd transmission , and hd estimated 1000, I would have been smart to first go to my usual independent shop, but service writer reinforced warranty would cover! My bad, but just chalk up to lesson learned!!

I missed that you had installed the thundermax. I still think that's kind of petty but they hold the cards.
The dealer had done the stage 2 install, but even though it ran great, but my ego had an issue with limiter shut off and like my old bike wanted a cooler ride with an aftermarket header, and tuner, and now it runs much stronger! But it will be even better, but I recommend being patient even with giant moco, but less likely to buy another new hd!
