Has anybody else broke the shift fork on 3rd gear on a 2017 ultra? Since newer , hardly any upgrades available, just a stage 2 107, , I ride it but just like all my other bikes, don't race or hole shots, it's a touring bike!
I’ve read of a couple that have broken teeth on 3rd gear, but it’s rare. Mine is an ‘07 that is very difficult going from 1 to 2 cold. Had it in a couple of times and never got satisfaction.

I should find today if its warranty or not! And what exactly broke!
This time of year it's tough getting miles on the '18 RG but I have to say, despite my desire for a Super Glide, it's becoming more and more difficult for me to double down on the M8 platform.

Rats I got my reply that 3rd gear bite the dust and metal everywhere in transmission! And my fault for add ins that voided warranty, again my fault, just didnt think a newer bike would spit up all over the transmission! Now trying to decide to replace gear set with hd(no warranty) or baker and pay 3x the cost???but no way do I want a ding wing!
Sorry to hear that. There have been reports of poor heat treatment causing some gear failures. An acquaintance of mine has it happen to a ‘16 CVO...outvof warranty. Be knows the dealer owner pretty well, and they did the repairs for dealer parts cost only. As for you..maybe you;can find a reputable Indy to do the repairs.

What "...add ins..." voided your warranty? Were these determined to be the cause for the failure?
holy crap some of us are running stage 4 kits (100 hp, 100 ft pounds of torque) without blowing up gears....
What EXACTLY did they give you in WRITING to deny the claim and void your warranty?
Sounds to me like many violations of Magnuson Moss Warranty act to me, unless they are claiming under the EPA consent order you did something to change the engine tune/emissions
