Default Beware ICICLES eyewear

Beware I bought a pair of sun glasses in Chicago at a show in Feb, the glasses are nice but I paid $45 for some foam inserts and I still have not received them. I try to contact them every two weeks or so and they keep spewing BS. Seems wrong to take the money but not send the product.

I know how you feel, I am dealing with the same thing with EZup tents… the part has been on back order for almost a month now.
But since I work for a sunglass company that competes with Icicles in the same market (cycling and Ski industry) I will give you some insight that might make you feel better that they are trying to get you taken care of. It sounds like you and Icicles are at the receiving end of the Chinese or Taiwanese clustf*ck of shipping. We deal with that a lot with small parts like that. Since they typically don’t sell that many of a part like that, it is always getting pushed back for bigger money makers. That doesn’t make it any better for you or there customer service though! If I were you (a customer calling me about this issue) ask them what they are going to do for you now that you have been waiting for 4 months. Write up a nice email explaining how unhappy you are with there customer service and if they don’t take care of this matter right away then you want your money back and you will go elsewhere. They are a small company and I can just about bet that if you shoot an email over to info@iciclessunglasses.com it will get seen by the person that it most matters to.
If we had glasses that had those little wind pads in them I would send you a pair for free but we don’t really have anything comparable.
Good luck~

If it's been 6 months then they have run into production issues, most likely the cost has changed or themanufaturer is being a jerk. I would try calling them and getting a real person on the phone, persistance usually pays off in these cases. That is why at my company we don't have automated phone services... you always get a live person answering the phone. I guess that is why we are kicking there a$$es in our market... hum maybe they are in trouble?
well good luck~

That sucks..... I hope you get your product our money back.....

I has a similar problem with P&M through my Harley dealer. I bought my RK and had P&M custom rims put on. They were suppose to put the matching sprocket, but they did not receive it. It took Harley about three months to get my sprocket in.... They did not charge me labor... It wasn't Harley's fault. The parts man kept calling P&M and kept me informed along the way. I don't know why it took P&M that long to ship a "Hooligan" sprocket to match their rims.....????

I hope you don't have as much trouble as I did with P&M

First off, if the above isthe actual correspondence you've submitted then I would strongly suggest you revisit your approach. E-mail, much like conventional correspondence, is extremely telling upon theoriginating individual. And in many instances, is treated accordingly. It almost seems as though your correspondence is the byproduct of an afterthought. I mean you no disrespect. But you would be far better served to compose a piece of correspondence which outlines the problems you are having in addition to what your course of action will be in the event that said problems are not revolved within a specific period of time. Further to the point, ifyour situation has gone on for 'months', then you have only yourself to blame for letting it go that long without having done something about it.

Also, you mentioned your e-mail correspondence. Have you been in phone contact with these people? If so, did you speak with someone above that of a sales manager/representative? If you haven't, I would suggest calling them and asking to speak with a higher up. Explain your situation and the time lapse therein. Advise this individual that if said product is not shipped witin X amount of days that you will be left with no option but to pursue the matter further.

I have called and get the same answers, but I will admit I have not pursued it with enough vigor. It is enough money to care about but not enough to invest to much time on. I was blowing off some steam posting it and wanted others to know how little respect they have for customers. Plus I do not really want my money back I want the inserts for long rides.

I"m not in the same business but we do have to deal with imported items. It can be a real pain in the **** getting certain products and sometimes can take months and months. I guess you could tell them you want a refund and to call you when they get the product in. Then they can send you the product with a bill and you can mail them a check after you receive the product. Like you said its not a whole lot of money - but you want the damn product. I feel for you - it can be a real pain
