I worked in Mil/Aerospace and it was required that I take a class in the use of torque. I'm pushing 50 and I always use a torque wrench. I will trust the tool over my feel for it.

I'm 64 and this is probably the 3rd or 4th screw or bolt I've ever broke. Not much experience in this. Thanks for all the kind words. I'm done!

FWIW, I use a 3/8" drive fine-tooth stubby ratchet for most of my small fastener work. It's quick and I don't over-torque nuts and bolts.
