You can resole them, and they are awesome boots that keep your feet dry and warm. I just took off the metal plating. Its on there with little allen screws.

I really like my Danner Stiker Torrent 8 all leather side zip. But they stopped selling the all leather version, so Ill be looking elsewhere when these wear out. Gonna be a long time though.

Damn, those are some crazy Mad Max type boots. I think I like them a lot.
Irish Setter boots by Red Wing. The most comfortable boot I’ve ever had. I bought them for bird hunting which involves walking through all kinds of stuff. They stay dry and can ride or walk all day in them in total comfort. https://www.irishsetterboots.com/hun...id=hunt-upland

Muck boots are best. Ha good for atving. I used to wear engineer boots. No I want something with lace up protection and something like gortex. I say go get a pair of gortex work boots. I also get mendls. Lot of good boots out there these days. Read the reviews, that will usually tell you if some kind of issue with water proofing.
I lean away from recraftable boots now. I think out dated technology. I like injection molded soles. Like a tennis shoe boot. My next pair to try will be Keen, lots of guys at work wearing them. Other thing with modern non traditional work boots, is how light they are.
I am currently wearing 600g and non insulated Timberland boondockers. Like them but they are a heavy work boot. I have worn, danner, bates, magnums, rebooks My favoite was Mendl ultra light hunter. Bought a second pair. Seem came off on side. Cabelas gave me a free pair, but they no longer make those. The denali are popular, but I don't care for them yet stiff.
