Default Iso grip issue

After the bar install this winter I noticed I couldn't get the throttle to "snap back" no matter how much I messed with it.
What I found was the grip stop was no longer stopping the grip from turning. It was over turning into the bottom of the perch. And only stopping when it reached the end of the cable or hit the carb stop.
Any one else experience this?
Very disappointed, more junk for the shelf.

I’ve never had a problem with Iso Grips. My Heritage has had them since new and I installed a set of them on my wife’s 14 Deluxe and my 18 RGU.

I've had them on several bikes and never had a problem.

I trashed mine for a set from Accutronix. Way better quality and you don't see them on every other bike.

I've had them on the last two bikes and never had a problem. Sounds like you have it pushed up to the controls too far?

Default Adjust your perch

I'm not sure I fully understand the issue... but I've found that I sometimes need to adjust the throttle perch otwards by ~1/8 of an inch when this is happening with new grips. The perch channel walls are bevelled so that it cinches down on grip as you tigthen it and it pulls the grip inwards. If you do not have enough clearance between the end of the bar and the inside of your new grip they will rub and the friction will prevnt your grip from snapping back. You should have about a 1/16"-1/8" slop in the grip (i.e. you can wiggle it left and right) to assure there is no friction/binding.

Not sure if this helps, but it has helped me int he past.

Maybe I wasn't clear, I have a dual cable carbed bike. The black part of the grip that holds the feral that hold the cables is supposed to also act as a grip stop to prevent the grip from turning into the bottom part of the switch housing.
Mine, somehow no longer stops. SOOO, with the both cables loose, when I turn the grip to full open it keeps going. Preventing me from adjusting the pull cable correctly.
This was/is just a heads up.

That sound like the setup I had on the Switchback, throttle by wire ? Was a little bit of a bear to get it right, but have no idea why it wouldn't stop.
