Windshield height recommdations

if you have buffeting.... get to the speed this occurs, the take your left arm and place it horizontally across your chest. If the stops or reduces the buffeting, then the air is coming from below the fairing/windshield. I had buffeting and ended up installing those fugly fork fangs!! That cured the issue, so I will take comfort over ugly!!!
I also installed the "ashtray" front fork air baffle that mounts on a Road King and that seemed to help a little

You might try putting some masking tape at different heights to see what suits you best. you can cut the one you have down some to save a few bucks. Several videos on YouTube. Not very hard just take your time. Measure twice cut once. I prefer a recurve

Here it is. Took 1 1/2 in off. Took passing lanes advice and used a grease pen to mark spots when I was out and about to find my line. Glad I didn't go off of the measurement I originally took just sitting on her. Thank you everyone again for all the advice, kind words, and just flat out being cool! Take care everyone!
