Mine does not.In fact, the sheepskin cover is much thicker, adding about 1/4". I suppose my airhawk may add 3/16", but the minimal air just evens pressure, does not feel like it is raising me up.
I think like the sheepskin, there is an inherent thickness to the cover, but when I sit on my bike, just the airhawk, no sheepskin, it would be really hard to feel like it raised me up. I guess maybe 1/8"-3/16 when properly unaired. What it does do is make for even distribution of my rear cheeks, removing any potential hot spots long before they can start to bother me.
But but I do understand that it is not for some people and if you gave it a try and it didn't work for you, nothing we say will change your mind.
