Default Road King help please

I’ve been looking at selling my 02 Road King and buying a used Rushmore 14 to 16 Road King. I really like the changes they did and there are some good values this time of the year. My wife likes the looks of the classic leather wrapped bags. I like how much they hold and haven’t had problems with them on my 02. I don’t believe the old Classic bags will fit 2014 and newer. Are their any aftermarket companies that make them? Or are there some simple modifications to make the leather bags work.
I guess I could set back ro a 2012 or 2013 which has 103.

Any my input would be appreciated.

As the new bags will work on older bikes with minor adjustment I am sure the older bags will work on newer bikes.

I haven't tried, but Harley still sells Classics in Europe, so I would think you can mount them to your bike. Keep the hard bags for those days you feel like a nut. And, a lot of riders like those bag too. You will have some leverage when you sell the bike.

I can’t find any reference to them here in the US.

Go to this site, http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.....asp?make=hdmc
Enter 2013 in the Bike year,
Click on the Road King Classic tab,
Scroll down to the Saddlebag Assembly tab,
Get your p/n for Right and Left Bags,
Call up New Castle Harley or Surdyke/Gold Star Harley and order them......

Thanks, that was extremely helpful. They have all the parts listed, but I wonder if I can get one complete. I will definitely call one of the dealers listed.

Thank you

With a few tools, ability and some time you can make pretty much make any bag fit any bike.

Older than 2014 RKC leather can be used on the newer models with only a minor modification. The mounting holes on the older bags are very slightly different. Less than a half inch. You can either drill a new one. Or modify the ones on the newer bike. That way you can buy some used ones and save a lot of money.
